Julie Cajigas built her first website for a client in 1998 in exchange for some mixtapes, using geocities and basic html coding. She met the client, another high school student from South Carolina on MIRC, and her parents were perturbed by the random mixtape delivery. She has since worked with many content management systems and site platforms to create simple websites or to update and manage more complex sites designed by developers.

ZipsGuide.com is a project that was founded by Cajigas to give her PR Writing students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in interviewing and writing while benefitting the community. All of the graphics and design was done by Cajigas.
